Let's Get Social
Oh Monday…today you’re messing with me!
I headed out early to grab some groceries this morning but my car was like nope!
Fortunately, we have another vehicle to use and an always kind neighbour that helped me out.
On the days that feel like maybe they aren’t quite going my way, I am reminded of this beautiful community we live in and how kind the people are that live here.
We know most of the names of those that work at our local mechanic shop. We have family doctors and a dental office that remembers personal things about their patients. We truly have all the amenities of a much larger centre. We have everything we could possibly need living in our small town and that’s just the way we like it!
So I hope your Monday has started off better than mine but you still take the time every once in a while to appreciate the small things. I will be enjoying my coffee a little more in my beautiful new mug from @evergreen.ceramics_ that I received for Mother’s Day! 😍

For almost 30 years, I have moved around for my husband's job and it taught me almost everything I needed to be a Realtor®. Here's a million things, ok...maybe not a million, but I will start with FIVE things I learned from our own RCMP moves:
1. Find a great realtor that is familiar with the BGRS and RCMP relocation programs because it's not something you can just "wing" and timelines move VERY quickly in these situations.
2. As a seller or buyer, you have to do your own due diligence; finding homes, best schools and activities for the kiddos and what job to do next. As a spouse, that often ended up on my shoulders because my husband continued to work his job during the relocation process.
3. You can indeed, look at 10 homes in a day, make and offer and have it accepted, do a home inspection and connect with your lawyer within your 1 week house hunting trip.
4. Packing and labeling boxes is essential. We were fortunate to have this done for us but I also would pack my own boxes of things of value and importance. Things like jewelry, passports, important documents and photos and kept those with us as we drove to our new location. There can often be weeks in between the time you leave your old home and move int the new one. The above mentioned stuff was always kept safe with us.
5. Moving is stressful! On everyone and especially your pets. Arrangements need to be made for them too. The definition of fun, is not living in a hotel room with 3 people, a dog and a cat and your houseplants for two weeks!
After 7 moves and two provinces of our own, I can honestly say I wouldn't change anything!

To the moms holding everything together in ways no one always sees… today is for you.
For the love, the late nights, the worry, the wisdom, the strength and all the little things that quietly make a house feel like home.
Happy Mother’s Day to the moms, grandmas, bonus moms and mother figures who make life softer, safer and more beautiful. You are deeply appreciated today and every day.

The Morden spring market is challenging right now…and so is being 5’2”!
Multiple offers above asking price and lack of inventory are the two main reasons why buyers aren’t purchasing homes. All we can do is keep trying and put our best offers forth, knowing that eventually we will be successful.
I wish consistency and strategy would help with my height sitch! Happy Friday, friends!

Hey friends! Hope you had a fabulous Easter and long weekend.
It’s hard to believe it’s already April. With that, the spring market usually starts picking up with the nicer weather upon us and more homes becoming available for sale.
Are you curious about the process and where to start? I’m happy to guide through your questions and the entire process, no matter which stage you’re at.
